Will anyone at Banyule Council use its powers to review developments and stop aesthetically unappealing or of low quality townhouses from going ahead in Heidelberg West, Victoria?

Who will call in its powers and flex their muscles to not build accommodation housing that does not live up to certain building standards?

Heidelberg west 3081 residents have for years now been calling out, "we do not want ugliness imposed upon new houses in the area".

House values will not increase over time in line with adjoining suburbs, nor will rates, if houses being built by budget-focused house builders, aren't restricted from building with poor quality materials and not keeping to aethetic standards in the area.

C'mon Banyule, let's think long term, not short. Heidelberg west, is a land of olympic historical value, shouldn’t it be preserved and upheld in a way that represents closer to a perfect score?
